Frances Elizabeth Heth
A private family service for will be held for Frances Heth of Ukiah.
Mrs. Heth died on Mother's Day, May 9, 2010 at the age of 91.
She was born on June 3, 1918 in Richardton, North Dakota, one of nine children of Frank Rieth and Anna Bergesch. She was descended from Germans who colonized Hungary in the 18th century. Her grandparents homesteaded in North Dakota in the early 20th century. In Mott, North Dakota she met and married Raymond E. Heth, her husband of 64 years, a descendent of Germans who left Russia in 1880 to homestead in the Dakotas.
In 1939 Raymond and Frances moved to Lodi, California. In 1950 they moved to Ukiah, California where the family was engaged in the sawmill business. From 1961 to 1979 they resided in Lake County where they developed a small housing subdivision. In 1979 they returned to Ukiah to live out their retirement years.
Her husband Raymond died on May 11, 2000.
Mrs. Heth is survived by her daughter, Marlene Kammerer of Hidden Valley Lake; by three sons; Redginald of Grants Pass, Oregon, and Dennis and Terrence of Ukiah; eight grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters Lena Heth of Hopland, Catherine Baumbach, Betty Hennecke and Janice Hurych of Lodi. A brother John Rieth lives in Fresno.
