Obituary:
Harry N. Holgersen, or Hog Body Holgersen as he was known by many, passed away on November 6, 2011, in Ukiah, CA. He was born in Eureka on May 21, 1940 to Niels and Hazel Holgersen of Loleta. Harry grew up on the Holgersen Dairy Ranch in Loleta, Ca. He graduated from Eureka High School in 1958 and soon after began his long career of truck driving. After spending over 20 years in Willits, CA, raising his son; Harry retired and moved to Golden Valley, Arizona to be close to his sister Marva Dethredge and brother-in-law Del Detherage. While living there, Harry worked as a range officer at the Mojave Sportsman Club. In 2005 Harry moved back to California where he resided in Ukiah, CA
Harry is survived by his brother Curtis Holgersen and his sister- in-law Anne Holgersen of Loleta, CA. His daughter Karen Holgersen of Ukiah, CA; and his Son Niels Holgersen, daughter-in-law Charlotte Holgersen and grandchildren Satiyah and Lukah Holgersen, of Eureka, CA. Harry also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, all living in Humboldt County. He was preceded in death by his parents, Niels and Hazel Holgersen; his brother Hans Sonny Holgesen and sister Marva Detherage.
All Friends and family are invited to celebrate Harrys life by attending a casual gathering and potluck at the Swiss Hall in Loleta, CA located on Tompkins Hill Road; on Saturday, November 19, 2011 between 1-4pm.
