Obituary:
Thomas Benton Humphreys, 86, of Ukiah passed away at Ukiah Health Care with his family present on Saturday, May 12, 2012. Thomas was born on June 1, 1926 in Kentucky; he spent the last 53 years in Ukiah.
Thomas worked as a forklift driver. He was proud to be a great-great grandfather and also of his garden and traveling cross country numerous times with his wife Joyce. He was a member of the Ukiah Elks, Moose and Cannibal Club.
Thomas served his country in the U.S. Army from 1945 – 1946. His family will remember that he loved to dance, garden, play poker and fish.
The family wishes to thanks to Ukiah Health Care for taking such good care of our father. A very special thanks to his granddaughter Adrianne and great granddaughter Meagan for all their loving care.
Thomas is survived by his daughters, Lynn and her husband Larry Lynch of Ukiah, Kathy and her husband Gary Mitchell of Arkansas, Joan and her husband Sheldon Cox of Albion, Ca., Sharlene and her husband Rob Kelch of Grass Valley, Ca., and Rhonda Humphreys and Jim of Redding, Ca. sons Larry Humphreys and Vonda of Modesto, Ca., and Eric Johnson and his wife Pam of Arvada, Co. numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren also survive. Thomas was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Humphreys and daughter Connie Humphreys.
At Thomas’s request there will be no services.
