L. B. Hunt

Funeral services for L. B. Hunt of Ukiah will be held on Friday, June 3, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Eversole Mortuary Pastor Lonnie Cox officiating. Interment will be in Ukiah Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 2, 2011 from 3 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary. L. B. passed away at his home on Thursday, May 26, 2011.
Born April 19, 1931 in Mission, Texas, L. B. has resided in the Ukiah area for the past 58 years. He was a member of the Ukiah Trap Club, loved to steelhead fish and play the guitar. He was most proud of his vegetable garden. He will be remembered for his canned beets and sweet red onions. Favorite saying, “Now listen to me.”
L. B. is survived by his wife of 61 years Emogene Hunt of Ukiah, daughter Judy and Don Cross of Athens, TN, sons Dan and Sharon Hunt of Ukiah, Brad Hunt of Ukiah, sister Gertrude White of Porterville, CA, brother Ken Hunt of Ukiah, grandchildren Cyndi Kirk of Ukiah, Shelly Whyburn of Ukiah, Traci and Mariah Hunt of Ukiah, Kendall Cross of Athens, TN and Collette French of Athens, TN, seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Following the services a reception will be held at the Calvary Way Church, 3601 Tollini Lane, Ukiah.
