James Morehead

In loving memory of James Lee Moorehead who departed from this world on June 4th 2024. His life was a beautiful symphony of love and legacy. He lived everyday with an unwavering devotion to his beloved wife, family, friends, and community, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and devotion. Jim's impact on those around him was profound and everlasting. He committed over twenty years to supporting the growth of the Community Foundation of Mendocino County and helping to make the county a wonderful place to live, work, and create. He himself was a visionary photographer who saw the world through his viewfinder, sometimes figuratively and sometimes literally. He loved to capture images that spoke directly to the viewer, preferably without the use of written or spoken language. His passion for his craft was only surpassed by his love for family and friends. Jim may be gone from our sight but his wonderful spirit remains alive in every memory he made and shared with those around him. He will be deeply missed, and he will be forever remembered for the legacy of love he leaves behind.
