It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jeff Woldemar on January 15, 2024, at the age of 53. As a child, Jeff was a country kid who loved exploring the woods behind his home with his BB gun, riding his bike, playing with his sister, and reading. He was an exceptional athlete who played baseball, basketball, and tennis. He greatly enjoyed growing up with his friends in Potter Valley, California. Jeff had a great sense of humor and wit. While he was occasionally known for getting into mischief, he also proved to be extremely smart and driven. Jeff was named valedictorian of his high school class at Potter Valley.
Jeff moved to Sonoma County for college where he enjoyed playing Dungeons & Dragons and playing video games with friends. He also worked with family members at Clover Stornetta and could be seen as “Clo” the cow at A’s baseball games and the county fair. Jeff met his wife Heather at tennis class and fell in love, despite switching up partners for a more competitive game once they started dating. They eventually married and built a beautiful life in Ukiah, California.
Jeff became a master craftsman and demonstrated his brilliance and work ethic in various homes throughout the North Bay Area and beyond. He devoted his life to his children, family, dogs, and woodshop. Jeff spent many hours in his children’s younger years helping to coach baseball and basketball, building class projects for fundraising, four-wheeling around the property, shooting guns, bows and arrows, and working tirelessly on his craft. He was extremely proud of his children and loved to maintain a relationship with them while they were away at college by playing online video games with them. While ever so shy at first with those he did not know, he was a loyal friend to those who he admired and trusted.
Jeff will be forever remembered and missed by so many who loved him and still hold him in their hearts. He is survived by his wife Heather, his two beloved children Seth and Josie Woldemar, his sister Amy, his parents Bob and Vicky, his nieces and nephew, aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members. Jeff was preceded in passing by his paternal grandfather, paternal grandmother, maternal grandmother, and beloved dogs, including J.J. and Maxxx.
The family invites friends and family to join them in remembering Jeff at the Celebration of Life at 1pm on March 9, 2024 at Dancing Crow Vineyards in Hopland, California. Your presence and shared memories at the causal gathering will be a source of comfort as we come together to celebrate a life well-lived.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Jeff’s name to the Humane Society for Inland Mendocino County (https://mendohumanesociety.com) or your favorite charity.
