Obituary:
Phil W. Jensen, 85, of Ukiah passed away on January 30, 2013 with his family present. Phil was born in Hollister, Ca. on December 10, 1927.
For the last 29 years, Phil has been a resident of Ukiah.
Phil served his country in the Korean War. He had a master’s degree in organic chemistry and during his working years, Phil was a Chemist for DuPont.
Phil enjoyed home wine making, home cooked meals, family gathering and gardening. Phil enjoyed and was very active and involved with his church, Holy Trinity Episcopal.
His family will remember Phil for being a loving husband, father and friend to so many.
Phil is survived by his son Bruce P. Jensen and his wife Candy J. Sugarman-Jensen, Paul A. Jensen and Donald B. Jensen, grandchildren Bret L. Jensen, Olivia Sugarman, James P. Jensen and Brian Jensen. Phil was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years Marjorie H. Jensen in 2007.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 10:30am at the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church on Orchard Ave. Father Bill will officiate. A burial will be held in Hollister at a later date.
Memorial donations in Phil’s name may be made to a local hospice agency.
