Mother to Thema Johnson, Judy Henderson (Jon), David Johnson (Judi) & Penny Petitt. Grandmother to Nicole Boggs (Casey), Ryan & Logan Henderson, Jenny & Mandy Johnson and Devin & Jordan Jackson. Great-grandmother to Luke and Tabor Boggs and Aviana Henderson. Ynona is preceded in death by her husband Ovid Johnson.
Our mother lived a very hard life early on, working in the dry, arid cotton fields of west Texas and then moving to frigid Dunsmuir, CA to a house that had limited plumbing. She never complained about the challenges she endured but instill a sense of hard work in her children and dedication to family.
She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be missed immensely. She as left a void in our lives that will be difficult to fill. We are all very thankful that she left this world peacefully.
One of the hallmarks of our mother was the fact that she cared for and loved many children in our community. For over two decades she would often babysit and was loved by all of them.
There will be no services per her wishes.
