Obituary:
Mary Ann Kaye (Coppini) passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2012 after a courageous battle with Lymphoma. She was born on July 3, 1929 in Ferndale, Calif. to Leo & Mary Coppini and was raised on a dairy. She graduated from San Jose State University and earned her teaching credentials, then spent 37 years teaching elementary and middle school. She married Charles Thomas Kaye in 1953 and together, they cherished their 5 children. Chuck, Tom, Joe, Leo and Mary. They also had their own dairy and was the last dairy in Potter Valley. After Charlie’s death in 1985 Mary Ann continued to raise dairy replacement heifer until 2011. She has always raised her own vegetables and loved to grow flowers to share and has been a blessing to our community for 55 years..

She was preceded in death by her parents Leo and Mary, brothers Paul & Francis, sister Lois, her husband Charlie and daughter Mary. Mary Ann is survived by her brothers Don and Len Coppini, sons Chuck and wife Judy, Tom Kaye, Joe and wife Diane, Leo and wife Sharlene, son in law John Estes and 3 grandsons Ty, Justin and Cody and adopted grandson Michael, wife Gina and daughters Tiffany and Brittany.

Mary Ann had a philanthropic nature and gave humbly and often anonymously. She was inspired and guided by prayer and found comfort in her Church family at St. Mary’s of the Angels in Ukiah. A memorial service and rosary will be held at St. Mary’s of the Angels Church on Tuesday, June 5th at 3:00 pm with a celebration of life following the services in Potter Valley at the Methodist Church on Main Street. Mary Ann’s request that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made in her name to Lymphoma Foundation (website - lymphomafoundation.org) or P.O. Box 286236, New York, New York 10128. The family would like to thank all of caring people at the Holy Spirit Care home in Ukiah. Their tremendous loving care Mary Ann and support was a blessing to all of us during this difficult journey.
