John Edward Kelley - age: 69
(January 07, 1941 to May 14, 2010 )
Resident of Redwood Valley, California

Obituary:
John Edward Kelley
January 7, 1941 to May 14, 2010

John Edward Kelley, longtime resident of Ukiah and most recently of Redwood Valley, passed away Friday, May 14, in the arms of his loving wife of thirty years, Colleen Kelley. John’s son, Tim Kelley also of Redwood Valley and sister-in-laws Cheryl Palmieri of Fairfield, CA and Jody Stratford of Peyton, CO were also at his side.
John was famous among his many friends for his elaborate practical jokes, his varied talents as a carpenter and “jack of all trades”, and his readiness to help anyone in need. John contributed his varied talents to the building project at Redwood Valley Community Church and many “honey do’s” at the Kelley’s home.
Since retiring from driving 30 plus years for UPS, John has enjoyed and shared countless hours at his and Colleen’s cabin in Covelo; great times, great hunting and hilarious “shenanigans” concocted by John to catch friends and family off their guard.
John leaves behind his stepdaughter, Danielle Jensen and granddaughters Kayla Hayes, Kelli Hayes and Amber Staffiero of Idaho; son Tim Kelley and his wife Kathy and granddaughter Kenzie Kelley of Redwood Valley and brother Charlie Kelley of Willits. In addition he will be missed by numerous nieces and nephews, his parent-in-laws Juanita and Orin Wakefield and brother-in-law Richard Stratford.
Take time today to recall and smile when you “remember when John…” He left us all wanting to get him back, but knowing in the end, he’d always have the last word!
At John’s request, no services will be held.
Eversole Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
