Obituary:
Della Darlene King, age 90, passed peacefully December 29th 2012. Born May 2nd 1922 in Haxton CO. To Robert Sturges and Gertrud Burmood. She had 4 sisters and 3 brothers. Jean Sturges, Delores Sturges, Anne Sturges, Donna Sturges, Dean Sturges, Bobby Sturges and Jack Sturges. She married William Richard King "Dick" July 20 1940. Dick and her had a one of a kind love. She gave birth to a son Robert Logan King "peewee". She also had two daughters, Robin Hill and Judy Andrews. Darlene would tell stories of her childhood. She would walk down the railroad tracks when she was a child and pick up coal that fell from the trains to bring back home. Once, Despite her parents wishes, she rode miles on her bike to see Amelia Earheart. She belonged to the Saturday afternoon club. She was a wonderful loving mother and grandmother. The best anyone could ask for. She is survived by her Daughters; Robin Hill and Judy Andrews. Her granddaughters and Grandson; Anna Jones, Lisa Burris, and Troy Andrews. She will be greatly missed and we are all so thankful to have had her in our lives. Services will be held at Eversole Mortuary on Thursday January 3rd at 1:00pm.
