A Celebration of Milton John Kleim, Srs Life
Milton was born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska on May 21, 1943, to John and Marie Kleim. They farmed in Bayard, Nebraska, and for 17 years he farmed with his favorite tractor = a John Deere 4010.
Milton had two sisters = Lorene Moranville, who lives in Bayard, Nebraska, and Gladys Feil = who lives in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. He is, also, preceded in death by his nephew, Kerry Feil, who was from Bayard, Nebraska.
In 1969, Milton and his parents moved to California mostly to live closer to Maries family of sisters/brothers and cousins that lived in the Lodi, California area. They moved into an apartment complex on Hutchins Street in Lodi. Unknown to them, they moved into an apartment next door to Shirleys friends = Shirley was his wife of 46 years. Shirleys friends decided to do matchmaking and on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 1969, Milton and Shirley were introduced to each other and they began dating, then on March 21, 1970, they went to Reno, Nevada, and married in the Chapel of Bells wedding chapel. On January 27, 1971, they were blessed with the birth of their son, Milton John Kleim, Jr. he lives here in Ukiah, CA. with Lisa and his children. Milton and Shirley continued with the love of machinery and worked side by side to take care of his landscaping business until 2000 when he became ill and had to stop working with the outdoors. He never stopped loving his machinery though. Shirley and Milton traveled the U.S. attending farm shows in different states and collecting his toy tractors and enjoy watching the machinery do what they are meant to do = work the soil. He belonged to several machinery clubs = his favorites being John Deere; Caterpillar and International Harvester! Milton loved visiting with his friends, especially here at Autumn Leaves and the opportunity to talk about his tractors and other machinery.
On Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at the Northbrook rest home in Willits, CA, Milton closed his eyes for the final time at 8:30AM and is no longer in any pain.
Shirley and family chose to celebrate his life today, Sunday, November 27, 2016, because this would have been Shirleys and Miltons 47th anniversary of God placing them together in life! He will be loved forever!!
