Obituary:
Luther Thomas Koonce, 84 of Ukiah passed away at Windsor Care Center of Sacramento on Thursday, July 26, 2012. Luther was born June 21, 1928 in Hopkins, IL.
Luther lived in Illinois until moving to Ukiah 9 years ago.
Luther’s family will remember his sense of humor and his stubborn attitude. Luther was a man of many personalities, he had the ability to make his grandkids laugh to the point of tears and he had his stubborn, ornery, it’s my way or the highway side as well but he touched the lives of everyone he met and will be missed dearly.
Luther is survived by his daughters Linda Mascolino, Nancy Crook, Arlene Lempicki, Yvonne Weber, Rose Garrison, Peggy Armstrong and Charlene Wilson, sons Donald, Edward, Gary and Michael, 25 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. He was preceded by his wife Lottie Koonce, daughter Carol Sue Koonce and parents Goldie Lyle and Luther T. Koonce Sr.
At Luther’s request, no services will be held.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Eversole Mortuary.
