Kramer-Day, Arline
May 9, 1917 – March 11, 2012

Wife, Mother, Nana and Friend passed peacefully in Ashland Oregon with her husband Richard Chambers at her side.
She was a fourth generation Californian born to Lovell and Helen Hunter Hamilton and raised on the Mendocino coast in Point Arena. She attended many schools in her youth following her father and mother working the logging camps along the North Coast forests. She attended Point Arena High School while her father was a lighthouse keeper at the Point Arena Lighthouse. There she met and married George W. McMillen. Later in life she met and married her soul mate Louie W. Kramer. She was most proud of becoming a Registered Nurse through the SRJC program. She later taught in the Nursing Program and worked for many years at the Santa Rosa Community Hospital. Losing Louie in 1977, she married Richard Day of Boonville, Ca and lived there for many years. After Richard’s death, she moved to Selma Oregon where she enjoyed many new friends and adventures. There she met and married Richard Chambers finally settling in Ashland where she enjoyed several happy years with Richard. She is survived by her husband Richard, her son William (Joan) Kramer, her brother Harry (Betty) Hamilton, and her sister Joyce (Dale) Pratt. She is also survived by her three devoted and much loved grandchildren, David (Tammy Durston) Kramer, Christy (Justin Reilly) Kramer, and Stephen (Amy) Kramer, six great-grand children and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the Matriarch of an extended family that included many wonderful friends made through the years. She treated them all like family and to her they were that indeed. She was NANA to all.
Services for family and friends at the Methodist Church Boonville, Ca. Saturday, March 17, at 11AM. Private interment at Manchester Evergreen Cemetery.
