Graveside services for Darlene Kuny will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, April 26th, 2014 at Evergreen Cemetery in Boonville. Darlene passed away at the age of 69 on Thursday, April 17th, 2014. She was born on November 10, 1944 in Oklahoma, but was raised in Mendocino County by her loving parents Marion and Edith Fullbright. Darlene devoted her life to protecting and caring for her loved ones, especially her daughter, Tia. Darlene was married to Fred “Fritz” Kuny for 18 ½ years until his passing in April of 2011. Darlene is survived by several siblings and her children Tia Trumble, Jonnie and Dana Mize, Gary Villa, Pam Mason, Lloyd Mason Jr., and Lowell Mason. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, including Fred Fitch, Ashley Fitch, Joanna and Eric Huey and one great grandchild, Miguel Huey. The family thanks everyone who was a positive member of Darlene’s life, especially Jan Wasson-Smith, Geraldine Rose, Susan Juster, and other long-time friends and extended family. Instead of purchasing flowers, donations to the A.V. Health Center or the Phoenix Certified Hospice of Mendocino County would be greatly appreciated. Eversole Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
