Laura German

Laura German of Ukiah, California was 94 years old when she passed away on January 11, 2024. Laura was born on September 24, 1929 to Pete and Rena Bartolomei.

Laura lived in Ukiah her entire life. She graduated from Ukiah High School. After graduation she went to secretarial business school in San Francisco.  She came home to Ukiah and met and married Wallace German on October 30, 1949. Laura and Wally had two sons Mike and Roger. She worked at the phone company and then the DMV until she retired. She also helped her husband run their vineyard.

Laura volunteered at the Senior Center for many years.  She loved to take her dogs for long walks around her vineyard and neighborhood. Every time we took her shopping she looked so pretty, people always commented on how cute she was and how nice her outfit looked. No one could believe she was 94.

Laura is survived by her sister Joy, her sons Mike and Roger, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Her passing has left a huge hole in our lives and in our hearts.

There will be a graveside service at the Russian River Cemetery located at 940 Low Gap Road  Ukiah, California. The service will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 11:00 am.

There will be a reception to follow at the Ukiah Elks Lodge at 1200 Hastings Road. Join us to remember and say goodbye to Laura German.
