Juan Luis Lopez, Sr.
A Mass of the Christian Burial will be said for Juan Luis Lopez, Sr. on Monday, April 22, 2013 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Ukiah Cemetery. Recitation of the Rosary will be on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at 6 p.m. at Eversole Mortuary with visitation beginning at 3 p.m. Juan passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 with his family by his side.
Born October 26, 1961 in Lockney, Texas, Juan graduated South Valley High School and worked in construction, was a millworker and an MTA Bus Driver. He loved martial arts (he was a 1st degree black belt), boxing, hunting and fishing. Back in the day he considered himself a bad ass and could out shoot and out fight any man. He took pride in teaching his children about the outdoors as well as self-defense. He was very proud of his children, wife and grandchildren. He will be remembered for the love he had for his family and friends.
Juan is survived by his wife of 33 years, Yolanda Lopez, daughter Sophie Lopez, sons Juan Lopez Jr. and fiancée Joanna, Alex Lopez and girlfriend Courney, grandchildren Halona, Halia and Alejandro, brother Rick and Rosie Lopez, sisters Frances Lopez, Amalia and Urbano Delgado, Lupe and Jesus Suarez, Alicia and Antonio Tinajero, Sally and Jose Novoa, Martha and Samuel Sanchez and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Eulogio Lopez and Mariana Amador and brother Ruben Lopez.
