Lori Lynn Hedrick

Lynn Hedrick, born on March 20, 1953, in Lawrence, KS, went to be with the Lord on September 10, 2024, at the age of 71. Lynn lived a life marked by love, kindness, and dedication to her family, friends, and many animals—especially cats. Known for her gentle spirit and giving heart, she was a compassionate soul who never hesitated to help those in need, often taking in and caring for sick or injured animals.

Lynn is survived by her beloved husband of 24 years, Merle Hedrick, and her children: Jesse Stickels (49), Jonathan Stickels (47), Jody Stickels (46), and Josiah Stickels (44). She is also survived by her stepchildren: Travis Hedrick (46), Sara Hedrick (44), and Angela Hedrick (42). Lynn was a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren: Noah Stickels, Jessalyn Stickels, Joden Stickels, Jaymen Stickels, Abram Stickels, Jeana Stickels, and Grace Stickels. She was a sister to Mike Whitchurch and Mark Larsen. She was predeceased by her mother, Betty Larsen, and father, Elmer Whitchurch. 

Her family was the center of her world. She cherished chronicling their lives in countless photo albums. Lynn leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will live on through them. Despite facing personal challenges throughout her life, she remained resilient and deeply committed to her loved ones. She found great joy in preparing meals and nurturing her family with boundless care and affection.

A graveside service to celebrate Lynn’s life will in be held on Monday, September 23, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at the Russian River Cemetery District (Ukiah Cemetery), 940 Low Gap Road, Ukiah, CA 95482 . A reception will follow at the Ukiah Valley Golf Course - Todd Grove Room, located at 599 Park Blvd., Ukiah, CA 94582.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Lynn’s memory to a charity dedicated to animal welfare, reflecting her deep love for all living creatures.
