Margaret Ann Russell

On April 7, 2025, our dear Lord gathered our little Mommy in his arms releasing her from this life.

Margaret Ann Russell (Wiesert) was born July 8, 1929, in Washington. She lived her younger years on Mercer Island along with her parents Oscar and Hilda and siblings; Sonny, Carol, Robert and Ann.

Margaret, at 14, was introduced to a young man her brother, Sonny brought home from the Coast Guard; Matt Richard Russell, who she corresponded with via letters and eventually married in July 1946 when Matt was released from the Coast Guard.

Margaret turned 17 one day and got married the next day and would continue her life with Matt until 1995 when Matt sadly passed away. Margaret and Matt had four children, Glen, Richard , Robert Walter, Bruce Allen, and Carrie Anne. Her grandchildren include Brooke, Aaron, Manndy, Ian, Matthew, Cara, Jon, Indiana, and great grandchildren, Hayden, Guy, Ethan, Ruby, and Finn. Margaret and Matt loved children, babies and pets; they were a true joy to them.

Margaret lived the majority of her life in Ukiah CA as a wife, mother and homemaker. She was a caring and generous mother to her family, who cooked, baked, sewed, gardened, and stood by her husband throughout their time together. Our Mom and Dad prepared many Friday evening dinners for guests the Ukiah Abel Masonic Lodge. They both enjoyed helping and doing for others in many ways.

Margaret lived her ending years in Willits at Holy Spirit Residential Care where she made some dear friends with the caregivers there who loved her very much and whom we are very grateful for.

Our mom is now at resting peace, reunited with her loving husband and family.

We will cherish the fond memories we have of you forever and hold you close in our hearts. ❣️
