Obituary:
Michael H. Martin of Cloverdale passed away Sunday, May 20, 2012 in San Francisco, Ca. with his family present. Michael was born December 16, 1946 in San Jose, Ca. He lived in Cloverdale for the past 55 years.
Michael graduated from Sonoma High School. He served his country in the U.S. Army, where he received a Purple Heart, 1 O/S Bar, Sharpshooter, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal w/ Device 1960, Combat Infantryman Badge, and National Defense Service Medal. He worked for 10 years as a Pepsi Truck Driver in Vallejo and Lake County areas.
On July 17, 1976, he married his wife Charlene. He loved racing, fishing and camping. His family will always remember his kind heart, love of racing and most of all his love for his wife. His favorite saying was “Go kick rocks!”
Michael is survived by his wife Charlene Martin of Cloverdale and his daughter Sissy Martin of Cloverdale. He was preceded in death by his Mom and Dad, Grandmother and Grandfather and 3 uncles.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the Eversole Mortuary. The burial will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at 10:30 AM at the Dixon National Cemetery.
