Obituary:
Yolanda Claire McTague passed away on November 20, 2012, with her beloved caregivers Aurea Samson and Marco Pineda at her side. Born to Ida Clara (Poma) and Fiorino Bricarelli on December 31, 1922, Yolanda grew up and lived in Ukiah all of her life. She met her late husband, Frank McTague when they were both employed at the pear shed, and married him in 1947. They were married for 49 years until his death in 1996. She enjoyed a long career in the legal profession. She worked for James Busch as his legal secretary when he was an attorney, and then when he became a Senator. She also served in the County of Mendocino courthouse for many years, and recited the sworn legal oath from memory well into her 80s. She is predeceased by her parents, her husband, and her sister Giovanna Ray. She is survived by her niece Lisa Ray; her cousins Joyce Myers, Sharon Poma, and Darryl Gomez; many extended family members, and long-time friends in the community. Her family offers their deepest thanks to her caregivers Aurea, Marco, and Kathy Grigarick, Dr. Guy Teran, the nurses, doctors and staff at UVMC, and to Phoenix Hospice. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 27, 2012, at 11:00 a.m., at the Ukiah Valley Cemetery Chapel. In lieu of flowers, her family asks that those who wish to remember her, make a donation to the Phoenix Certified Hospice of Mendocino County in her name. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Eversole Mortuary.
