LeClaire Meyer

Graveside services for LeClaire Meyer of Ukiah will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Ukiah Cemetery. LeClaire passed away on Friday, November 5, 2010 with her family by her side.
Born September 7, 1921 in Chico, she was a telephone operator for Pacific Telephone and Telegraph for 25 years and was a member of A.T.& T. Pioneers. She has resided in the Ukiah area for the past 61 years. LeClaire was a tireless volunteer for several organizations, her church, her neighborhood and her community. She will be remembered for her great sense of humor, her numerous stories and her story telling style.
LeClaire is survived by her son Jerry Meyer and wife Sue of Ukiah, daughters Marilyn Tyler and husband Mike of Toledo, Oregon, Kathleen Shetakoff of Santa Rosa, Elizabeth Cooper of Ukiah, sister Marja Miller of Chico, grandchildren Jerry Meyer Jr., Mandy Johnson, Ernie Cooper, Steven Krupa, Raymond Meyer, Jarrod Meyer and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Claus Meyer, parents Drew and Grace Raker, son David D. Meyer, sister Dr. Betty Lou Raker and brother Lester Raker.
