Funeral notice


Carole A Miller 73 of Potter Valley passed away peacefully on February 27, 2012, at her beautiful home. She lost her battle with uterine cancer after a year and half. She was born on November 23, 1938 in Oceanside, CA. She graduated from Lindsay High School in 1956. She Began her education as a Registered Nurse, and graduated from Samuel Merritt Hospital in Oakland in 1959. She worked at Childrens Hospital in the east bay and various other small hospitals.
After retiring she moved to Potter Valley and has settled there since 1983.

Carole is survived by her loving husband George R. Miller where they just celebrated their 51st anniversary on December 28, 2011. Son Todd Miller, daughter Karen Lamalfa and husband Mike, Granddaughters Ashley Arneson and boyfriend Celso, Courtney Miller, Katelyn Lamalfa, mother Mary Matthews, sister Diane Slagle and husband Bud, brother Dan Matthews and wife Sue, many nieces and nephews.
The family will dearly miss her laughter and generous soul. Carols favorite saying “once a nurse always a nurse”.
We would like to thank Caroles dear friends for their support during her time of need. A special thanks to the staff at Ukiah Valley Medical Center for their gentle and thoughtful care of our loved one.
Thank you to Dr.s Hardy, Joseph and Jepson. We also thank the help from the Phoenix Hospice of Willits.

She is proceded in death by George and Caroles son Dean Ralph Miller in 1964.
A private service and a celebration of Caroles life will be held at a later date. Contribution to American Cancer are preferred by the family.
