Obituary:
Virginia Montalvo “Granny” to her close friends in Willits, passed away peacefully in her home in Redwood Valley on Oct. 17, 2011. Virginia was born in Jefferson, MO July 6, 1928 and lived much of her life in Oakland, CA where she and husband Fred raised their 8 children.Fred and Virginia moved to Willits in 1971 and were active in the Lions Club and Willits Frontier Lioness
Club and other community affairs.
She is preceded in death by Fred and two of her sons, Freddy and Allen.
Virginia is survived by her children Judy Wright of Stockton, Carol and her husband Rick Hartje of Redwood Valley, Jim and his wife Judi of Willits, Greg and his wife Lori of Reno, NV, Susan Danforth of Elco, NV and Candy Montalvo of Redwood Valley plus numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will be at Eversole Mortuary in Ukiah, Saturday 22 at 11:00 a.m.
Family prefers donations to the Willits Senior Center in lieu of flowers.
