Elma Irene Mucklow

Elma Irene Mucklow, longtime resident of Redwood Valley, California, passed away on Monday January 18th, 2010 in Castle Rock, Colorado. Born February 2, 1920 in Gillespie, Illinois, Elma spent nearly seventy years of her life in the Redwood Valley area, where she was married to “Dutch” Mucklow and they raised their four sons. Elma was a long time member of the Redwood Valley Community Church. Elma had many close friends and was loved by all that knew her. Elma was known as the “Cookie Grandma.” Elma enjoyed her family, her pets and a warm blanket. Elma is survived by her children, Charles (Eileen) Mucklow of Cedar Bluff, Alabama, David Mucklow of Goodyear, Arizona, Lloyd (Doris) Mucklow of Mt. Calm Texas and Kenneth (Cricket) Mucklow of Redwood Valley, as wells as many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Elma was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of forty-four years, “Dutch” Mucklow, her twin sisters, Thelma and Velma, and granddaughter Rachel McQueen. A memorial service will be held at the Redwood Valley Community Church on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Redwood Valley Volunteer Fire Department.
