Obituary:
William M. Neese of Redwood Valley passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital with his family by his side. He was born on September 10, 1931 in Kalispell, Montana. His family moved to Northern California when he was 4. At age 12 they moved to Ukiah and he has resided here since. He graduated from Ukiah High in 1950. Bill served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He belonged to the Cannibal and Romeo Clubs and Sons of Italy. He owned and operated a trucking business, vineyard, winery and hardware store.
Bill is survived by his loving and devoted family, wife of 66 years Lucille and son Bill both of Redwood Valley, daughter Susan and husband Greg Mathis of Ukiah, sister Betty and husband Bob Landau of Bellevue, Washington, brother Richard and wife Bea Neese of Ukiah, sister Margie King of Boise, Idaho, grandchildren Tony Mathis of Ukiah, Angela and husband Brian Williams of Ukiah, Maggie Mathis and fiancé Jordan Miller of Redwood Valley, great grandchildren Callia and Devin Williams, sister-in-laws Barbara and Margaret Rovera and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Margie Neese, in-laws Charles and Margaret Rovera, sister Ethel and husband Don Shoenberger, brother Ernie and wife Connie Neese, brother-in-laws Floyd and Donald Rovera, George King, and niece Tracy Rovera. Memorial contributions to the Redwood Valley Fire Department, PO Box 385, Redwood Valley, 95470 or Phoenix Hospice, 1 Madrone, Willits 95490 are preferred. At the family's request, there will be no services. Eversole Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
