Allen Richard Nevarez
Al, also fondly known and Big Medicine and Debo, was suddenly called home by his creator on August 27, 2011. Al was born in Santa Rosa and was a resident of Redwood Valley Rancheria for 20 years. He was a security guard employed by Professional Event Services.
Al will be deeply missed by his wife Teresa Nevarez, daughter Monique of Sebastopol, twins AJ and Ashley of Washington and Phillip of Redwood Valley, grandchildren Shaelyn and Kingston Nevarez of Sebastopol, his puppies Jingles and Max, parents Fred and Mary of Redwood Valley, brothers and sisters Janice, LaDonna (Pete), Myra, Delores, Steven (Sally), Donald (Roxanne), Hank (Lisa), and Eddie (Lashell), sister-in-law Maria Nevarez and numerous, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Fred Nevarez, Jr. and brother-in-laws Abie and James.
Al was an avid bodybuilder, writer and artist. He enjoyed playing chess, scrabble and doing his beadwork.
For those who were fortunate enough to know him, Al will be remembered for his love of life, always living life to its fullest, his generosity, his big smile, his laughter, his love of family and his Native American culture.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 2, 2011 at 10 am at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church. Recitation of the Rosary will be on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at 6 pm at Eversole Mortuary. Visitation will be on Thursday from 9 am through the Rosary. Inurnment will be in Ukiah Cemetery.
