Susan A. Newby
Susan A. Newby passed away peacefully in her home on July 10, 2011 at the age of 67 surrounded by her family. She was born February 4, 1944 in Ukiah, CA, where she continued to live until her passing.
She leaves behind her loving husband Gary Newby, her daughter Jennifer Barbee and husband Chuck Barbee of Eureka, CA and their children Christine Salmon and husband Matt Salmon, as well as their son Brady Salmon with another child on the way, Will Barbee and Ashlynn Barbee; her son John Sparkes and wife Sarah Biancalana of Lakeport, CA and their son Phillip Sparkes; her brother Roland Bud Daut and wife Margaret Daut. She is preceded in death by her father Roland Daut, her mother Mildred Daut, her sisters Joan Kyle and Nancy Madigan, as well as her beloved daughter Tonya Sparkes.
Susan was a graduate of Ukiah High School in 1961 and went on to work for Mendo-Lake Credit Union, Adventist Hospital and County of Mendocino.
Susan’s family would like to thank everyone who has sent flowers, cards and encouraging words during this difficult time and we are eternally grateful for being part of such a wonderful community of friends and family.
