Penny Sue Petitt

Penny Sue Pettit passed away on Tuesday, June 13 after a long, arduous, and heroic battle with cancer. She was born in Ukiah, attended local schools and was 61 at the time of her passing. She will be sorely missed by everyone whose path she crossed. She was preceded in death by her parents Ovid and Ynona Johnson. Penny left behind two adoring sons, Devin (Erica) Jackson and Jordan Jackson and the father of her two sons, Clint Jackson along with two beautiful granddaughters, Jaelyn and Jerzey Jackson.

Penny will be greatly missed by her siblings, sisters Thelma Johnson, Judy (Jon) Henderson and brother David (Judi) Johnson and various nieces & nephews including Nicole Boggs, Ryan & Logan Henderson, and Jenny & Mandy Johnson. ‘Aunt Penny’ was very close to all of them and will be remembered very fondly. The void she created will certainly be hard to fill.

Penny was often the life of the party and could certainly light up a room. She possessed a zest for life and bulldozed her way through it. She would not want family and friends to mourn her passing but would rather have us cherish the time and experiences that we all had together. With that thought, appreciate those around you more, especially your loved ones for life offers no guarantees of longevity.
