John Paul Pesko
A memorial will be held in Point Arena at a later date for John Paul Pesko who passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2016. Born February 15, 1923 in Phillips, Wisconsin, John has lived in Mendocino County for the past 60 years, mostly in the Manchester area. John served his country in WWII with the 235th Army Air Force completing his 25 missions over Germany in a B-24 aircraft. He worked in a lumber mill, in civil service for the Point Arena Air Force Radar Station and was a commercial fisherman. He lived life to the fullest, always his way. He had a true appreciation for the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. John was a very caring and compassionate person, always interested in the welfare of others. John is survived by his many nephews, nieces and close friends that will dearly miss him. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Ukiah, 620 S. Dora St., Ukiah, CA 95482 or any local charity of your of your choice.
