Obituary:
Sandra L. Phillips, daughter of the late Maurice and Mary Cox, passed away peacefully at home in the company of her daughter and brother on October 27, 2011, she was 77. A lifelong resident of Ukiah, Sandra graduated from Ukiah High School, where she met her future husband, Robert Hammons, and then attended Dominican College in San Rafael.
Sandra was a public school and legal secretary and office manager at Rinehart Oil for many years until retirement. She loved gardening and was a gourmet cook who loved throwing intimate and elegant dinner parties for friends. She had just completed an artistically graceful refurbishing of her home when she became ill.
Her daughter Deanne was the recipient of her love and attention.
Sandra is survived by her beloved daughter Deanne, her brother Maurice and Buzz Phillips.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday November 5, 2011 beginning at 1:00 PM at The Eversole Mortuary.
