Obituary:
Jesse Ray Pieri, 26, passed away on April 30, 2013 at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital in Santa Rosa, CA, due to multiple injuries he sustained from the hit and run tragedy that occurred while he was walking on North State St. in Ukiah on April 19th. Jesse was born on August 27 in Ukiah, CA to Helen Adele Pieri.
Jesse grew up in Ukiah, California and graduated from Ukiah High School in 2005. Recently he attended Mendocino College and studied astronomy which was his love.
Jesse was passionate about gazing at the stars in the heavens with a telescope that his father Nick gave him. His father Nick had only just recently come into his life.
Jesse is survived by his mother Adele Hernandez of Ukiah; his step-father Vincent Hernandez, Sr., his father Nick Valentine of Scotia, CA; his step-brother Vincent Hernandez, Jr., of Ukiah; half-brothers Michael Dalerio of Sacramento, CA and Christopher Dalerio of Oregon, half-sister Paige Valentine of CA.
A visitation will be held at Eversole Mortuary on May 29 from 2 – 4 p.m. The family will be greeting friends and relatives during this time. Regretfully, due to limited space a private burial will be held at Healdsburg Cemetery. Jesse will be buried next to his grandpa Eugene Pieri. Following the burial a memorial potluck will be held at Lake Mendocino in Ukiah May 30th from 2 – 6 p.m.
Jesse will be loved and missed especially by his mother and all the many friends he made during his short life.
