Eleanor Pizzano

Eleanor Pizzano passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2010 at Horizon West with her family at her side. Born December 31, 1924 in Pennsylvania, she moved to Ukiah from New Jersey in 1990. Eleanor worked in a factory and housekeeping, she loved puzzles, crosswords and was very active in helping others. The most important part of her life was family. She was proud of being a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She would say, “Always do things the right way.” She will be remembered for her strength, her faith, her honesty, the lives she touched and the love she has given.
Eleanor is survived by her daughters Maryann Graziano Linden of New Jersey, Darlene Meadlin of Ukiah, sons Michael Pizzano of Watsonville, CA, William Cacchiola of Ukiah, Robert Cacchiola of Springfield, NJ, sisters Anne Downey of Fortuna, Catherine, brothers Leo and Emil Ragas, grandchildren Mary Ellen Menzel, Jimmy and Frankie Tuite, Leticia, Bill Jr., Lisa, Robert, Christopher, Anthony, Tara and Joseph Cacchiola, Joshua and Nathaniel Wiggins, Krystal Cole, Thomas Yearwood, Dawn and Dominic Graziano III and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Catherine and Emil Ragas and by her husband Michael Pizzano Sr.
Memorial contributions to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital are preferred.
