Obituary:
Elizabeth “Betty” Portlock passed away at home Wednesday, December 19, 2012 with her family at her side.
She was in the class of 1976 at Ukiah High. She was a cook most of her life, 12 years at Ukiah Convalescent Hospital and then for the M.C.S.O. Jail for 8 years.
She loved camping, family B.B.Q’s, holidays, get togethers and all her grand kids’ activities.
Betty is survived by her husband Larry of 37 years and 5 children, Doug & Amber of Coffeeville, Ks, Robert & Mariah of Ukiah, Ronald & Amber of Redwood Valley, Julia & Martin of Lucerne, Ca, and Hope of Redwood Valley, mother in law Desene Portlock of Redwood Valley, two brothers Pete & Linda Vandervort of Boonville, Ca, and Mike Vandervort of Reno, Nv, three sisters Jeanie Klinfelter of Center Hall, Pa, Mary Vandervort of Corvallis, Or, and Jessie & Leon Osburn of Ukiah, 11 grandchildren and 30 nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her parents Joe & Julia Yanko of Ukiah and her brother Joey Yanko of San Francisco.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Ukiah Cemetery.
