Jing (Jimmie) G. Quan
Funeral services for Jing (Jimmie) G. Quan will be held on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Eversole Mortuary. Interment will follow at Ukiah Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. on Tuesday at the mortuary. Jimmie passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 in Santa Rosa with his family by his side.
Born February 2, 1930 in China, he graduated Ukiah High School in 1950. He has resided in the Ukiah area for the past 74 years owning businesses in the area. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was proud of his family, for being a successful businessman and for serving his country. He will be remembered for his generosity, kindness, sense of humor and putting others before himself. His favorite quotes, Im okay, Im fine, Its alright.
Jimmie is survived by his wife of 34 years, Rosita Quan of Ukiah, daughters Melissa, Katherine and Leslie Quan of Ukiah, sisters Annie Uno of Virginia, Marjorie Sam of Torrance, California, Maxine Soohoo of Santa Rosa, Chu Gong, Siu Ho Gong and Siu Lan Gong all of San Francisco, brothers Phillip Quan of Redwood City, Roger Quan of Santa Rosa, Guy Gong of San Francisco, Ken Gong of Santa Rosa and Chong Gong of San Francisco. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
