LeLand Doyle Ragan
Le was called to his eternal home Monday morning, July 22, 2013. Born February 20, 1934 in Lucerne, Wyoming. Survived by his wife of 57 yrs., Barbara Lee Ragan; son Shawn Ragan; grandson Scott LeLand Ragan and brother Olen Ragan.
He was preceded in death by his parents Edward Lee Ragan and Cleva Wilson Ragan, brother LaVeryl and sisters VaDonna and Mary Ann. LeLand and Barbara grew up in St. Helens, Oregon. They moved to the Bay Area in 1957; retired to Fort Bragg in 1998 and then came in 2003 to Ukiah to be with family.
LeLand lived his life with purpose always honoring God, family and his country. He was employed by the Dept. of Defense and served as a Sgt. First Class in the Army National Guard. His family and friends were earthly treasures and he always considered it a special privilege to serve as a deacon at Trinity Baptist Church, Castro Valley. He was a kind and gentle man of integrity who will be remembered for his faith, perseverance and courage.
Memorial Services will be held Sunday, August 4, 2013 at 6 p.m. at Ukiah Bible Church 2140 Arroyo Rd., Ukiah, CA.
