Obituary:
Cruz “Angel” Rea, 55, of Ukiah passed away on November 23, 2016 with her family present. Cruz was born December 27, 1960 in Santa Rosa; Ca. Cruz had lived in the Ukiah area for the past 7 years.
Cruz received her GED, C.N.A. training and cosmetology training. She was a Certified Nursing Attendant for 10 years and a cosmetologist for 2 years.
She was proud of her children and receiving her C.N.A. License. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and going to the casino.
Her family will remember her loving, caring heart, her sense of humor and her faith. Cruz treated everyone the same. She was a fierce protector of those she loved. Her favorite quote was “Turn the Page”.
Cruz is survived by her daughters Patricia Cortez (Loren) of Covelo, Naomi Kennedy (Pete) of Covelo, Christiania Navarro (Kayla) of Willits, sons Carrol Eugene Smith (Nicole) of Santa Rosa, Isaiah Cortez (Gina) of Rohnert Park, Jose Cortez of Santa Rosa and Emiliano Navarro of Fort Bragg, sisters Delfina Ramos of Windsor, Connie Rodriquez (Emile) of Ukiah, Dolores O’Banion (Patrick) of Willits, Carol Tafolla (John) of Bakersfield, Ca., brother Ben Rea ( Ana) of Santa Rosa, Ca. mother Maria Marquez (Castro) of Bakersfield, Ca. grandchildren Sianna, Cassie, Robbie Cortez, Isabella, Timothy, Noah Smith, Lavina Lincoln, Olivia, Johnny and Eliana Kennedy. Cruz was preceded in death by her father Santos Q. Rea Sr., brother Santos Rea Jr. and sister Elena Barajas.
A memorial service will be held on Friday December 2, 2016 at the Eversole Mortuary at 1:00 PM. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to the service.
A gathering will follow the service at the Discovery Inn.
