Maria De San Juan Reyes
Born on July 10, 1957 in Moyahua, Zacatecas, Mexico.
Moved to Kelseyville, CA in September 1965 where she attended elementary and graduated from Kelseyville High School with the Class of 1977.
Her first job started the summer between her junior and senior year (1976). She worked as a typist and translator at Lake County Tile Company until March 13, 1982, when she married and moved to Ukiah to be with her husband Fortunato Reyes.
She later worked for North Coast Energy services, Inc, a non-profit agency, and here she worked for thirteen years. In November 1997 she became employed by the County of Mendocino Department of Child Support Services where she worked as a Child Support Specialist II until April 12, 2011 when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Was preceded in death by her (biological) father Julio Hernandez, her husband Fortunato Reyes and her son Daniel Reyes.
She is survived by her son David Reyes, daughter-in-law Jennifer (Cooper) Reyes and her beloved granddaughter Ayiana Maria Reyes and another grandchild on the way.
Also survived by her parents Pedro and Cirila Guerrero, brothers Hector Guerrero & family, J. Alfredo Guerrero & family, Arturo Guerrero & family all of Lakeport, CA, Ruben Guerrero & family of Santa Rosa, CA and sister Alicia Hernandez & family of Mexico.
As well as her brother-in-laws, Jeronimo Reyes & family of Salinas, CA, Felipe Reyes of Ukiah, CA and his children of Igo, CA, and of Eureka, CA. Mother-in-law Rosa Salguero and many brothers & sisters-in-laws of Mexico.
Favorite past time were family gatherings, especially Sunday BBQ at the family home. She based her entire life around family even after she was diagnosed, she put herself last and all those that she cared about first. She has left a great impact on numerous lives and will be sincerely missed by all those that were lucky enough to have known her.
A viewing and rosary ceremony will be held at Eversole Mortuary in Ukiah, CA Tuesday May 8th at 5:30pm. A mass will be held at Saint Marys of the Angels church in Ukiah, CA at 2:30pm followed by a burial ceremony at the Russian River Cemetery in Ukiah, CA.
