Obituary:
Lucille Rhodes lost the long Battle of UPS on May 6, 2011 when the disease turned to leukemia and she passed away May 10, 2011.
She was born July 31, 1922 in Kerman, Ca. to Alfred and Hazel Huntington who owned Huntington Brothers Construction. She lived in many towns throughout California while growing up including, Donner Lake when her father was working on the Donner Pass, Clearlake when her father was working was working on Hwy 20, and many more.
When she was 19 she moved to Las Vegas, Nv., where designed & made dresses for the Vegas Show Girls, she owned Bronze Baby Shoes and a restaurant and hotel in Vegas where she met her first husband Frank Morello. Also during her time in Vegas she invented and was the designer of the Perfect Fit Pants Ruler They settled down in Napa, Ca., to start a family where she raised two children. She was involved in Sea Scouts, Girl Scouts and 4-H in Napa, Ca.
Lucille is survived by Betty Morello of Ukiah, Ca. stepdaughters Melody Foster of Ukiah and Alice of Ukiah, son Frank Morello of Ft. Klamath, Or., sisters Lita Mae Sugg of Penny Valley, Ca. and Myrtle McGinty of Sonoma, Ca., brothers Tom Huntington of Grass Valley, Ca. and Fred Huntington of Corvallis, Mt., grandchildren Amanda & Chad Krentz of Redding, Ca., Gina & Shane Roth of Santa Rosa, Ca., Anthony & Melanie Morello of Myrtle Creek, Or., Stephen & Sarah Foster of Susanville, Ca., Brian & Stephanie Foster of Matthews, Nc., Scott & Sarah Foster of Bristow, Va., Dana Pickner of Ukiah, Ca., Corey & Tonya Pickner of Arvada, Co., Ashlie Petersen of Bonanza, Or. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents Fred & Hazel Huntington, husbands Frank Morello and Howard Rhodes and her daughter Cynthanie Rhodes.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2011 at the Eversole Mortuary from 4-8 pm and at Tulocay Cemetery chapel on Monday, May 16, 2011 from 12-2 pm. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm at the Tulocay Cemetery.
