Obituary:
Rosa G. Ricetti of Redwood Valley passed away on June 2nd, 2021 at the age of 99. Rosa was born on August 23rd, 1921 in Wiesing, Austria. Her family moved to Redwood Valley in 1932 where she lived the rest of her days. On April 6th, 1940 She married John Ricetti and they spent the next 71 years together. Rosa worked for J.C. Penney’s and the Ukiah hospital before starting as a cook for the local school district in 1965. Upon her retirement she spent time in Europe, Hawaii, Alaska, Nevada and Idaho. She had a wealth of local knowledge and was able to provide extensive information on points of interest throughout Redwood Valley and Mendocino County as well as expounding upon the very large number of relatives throughout the area. She is survived by her daughter Nancy Ricetti Reynolds of Mountain Home, Id. grandchildren Rick Ricetti and his wife Michele of Redding, Ca. Richard Brown and his wife Kelli of Boise, Id. Raymond Brown and his wife Terri of Cascade, Id. and Rob Ricetti and his wife Linda of Redding, Ca. and four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband John Ricetti in 2012 and her son John Robert Ricetti in 2017.
