Alta Irene Robbins
Visitation for Alta Irene Robbins of Redwood Valley will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Eversole Mortuary. Alta passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2013 surrounded by her family. Born April 22, 1935 in Los Angeles she was a long time resident of 40 plus years in Redwood Valley. She was a Native American beader and moccasin designer. She will be remembered for her big, generous heart, her nice loud laugh and her amazing talents. She was beautiful inside and out. Alta was a proud Lakota woman and an original AIM member. She was most proud of being able to work with the children of Redwood Valley Rancheria and watch their development in education. These same children would give her personal awards. She will be missed.
She is survived by her daughter Marty, sons Eric and Leif, sisters Joanne and Kathleen, 3 grandchildren and her extended family.
Memorial donations to help defer funeral expenses would be greatly appreciated. Please send to Eversole Mortuary.
