Robert William Saia

Robert (Bob) W. Saia 65 passed away August 10th 2023 at Adventist Health Ukiah Hospital. Bob was born May 9th 1958 in Morgan Hill CA to the late Robin Sorensen and William Saia. Bob was the youngest of 4 children 2 of which Michael and Daniel preceded in his death. Bob grew up in the Bay Area enjoying playing with his brothers who were his best friends. Bob was a talented musician who played the drums in a few different bands, and often together with family. He was a taxi driver in San Jose for 18 years.  Bob moved north to Redwood Valley, CA with his mother where he spent his last 30 years. He served his community as a Grand juror investigator for Mendocino County.

Bob enjoyed his time as Santa on the Skunk Train. Bob Loved his dogs Vinny and the late Pokey as well as a long lineage of several family dogs.  Bob's hilarious and often silly, and sometimes dark humor and wit will be missed.  He was a beloved part of his family and community. Bob is survived by his brother David Saia. his nieces Amy Saia, Sara Saia and his nephew Daniel Saia Jr who took care of him in his last years. He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews.
