Antonio P. Rojas
A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held for Antonio P. Rojas on Monday, December 23, 2013 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Ukiah Cemetery. Recitation of the Rosary will be on Sunday, December 22, 2013 at 3 p.m. at Eversole Mortuary. Visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary. Antonio passed away at his home on Thursday, December 19, 2013 surrounded by his family.
Born August 18, 1922 in Tuxcueca, Mexico, he immigrated to the US in 1945 and worked numerous jobs including foreman and ranch hand for McGruders in Potter Valley, Masonite, the railroad and blasting rocks to forge Highway 101. He was Past President of Consilio Latino Americano involved in fundraising for scholarships. Antonio enjoyed hunting and loved fishing and gardening. He had a great green thumb. He especially loved getting together with family and friends on the weekends. He will be remembered as a hard worker and a great provider for his family. He was well liked by all.
Antonio is survived by his wife Eloisa Rojas, daughters Arselia Delgado, Teresa Salgado, Alicia (Raul Sr.) Sanchez, Maria (Rafael) Briseno, Ana Bateman, Eloisa Gonzalez, sons Salvador Rojas, Antonio Rojas, sisters Madalena, Amelia, Eva, Luz, brother Vence, grandchildren Juan, Lisa, Luiz, Angelica, Maria, Rebeca, Raul, Julio Cesar, Raul Jr., Sergio, Roberto, Michael, Leticia, Jose Noe, Adan, Luis Uriel, Salmon, Vincente, Ruben, Jessica, David, Anthony, Gabriel, 43 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Vincente and Guadalupe, brothers Tomas, Pedro, Vincente, Salvador, Miguel, Jose and by his baby daughter Ana.
Eversole Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
