Obituary:
Born Audrey Louise Gillin on March 10, 1918, the third of eight children, to Jennie Sensebaugh and Merton Boyd Gillin, in E. Taylor Township (Johnstown) PA.
Married on February 18, 1939 to Alexander David Rorabaugh, until her husbands death in 2010.
Moved with her husband to Tecumseh, MI in 1944, where she and husband Alex worked on B-24 heavy bombers at the Willow Run Bomber Plant, until Alex joined the Navy Sea-Bees in 1945.
With the end of WWII the family moved to Cloverdale, CA CA where Alex began his career in lumber and logging, and Audrey settled into her role as a full-time mother to her three children; Alec, Jerry, and Cheryl.
In 1956 the family bought and moved to a ranch near Hopland, CA, where she and her husband lived out their lives, and where her two sons and spouses, two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren continue to live.
As a young athlete, she played basketball in high school, and later was an active team bowler in Cloverdale. She played bocce ball until her mid-nineties.
She lived independently until recovery from cancer surgery necessitated in-home care for the last year of her life. Our deepest gratitude to Home With Us care service, and especially to Christina, Ashley, Angie, and Rayleen, who also provided wonderful care for Audrey. Audrey was also blessed to have granddaughter Casey Ford, R.N., looking after her throughout her later years, and with her when she passed on.
Audrey is survived locally by Alec and Tina Rorabaugh, Jerry and Rachel Rorabaugh, grandson Kris and Rachael Rorabaugh with great grandchildren Kaden, Ryland and Savanah, granddaughter Voeleen Rorabaugh, granddaughter Casey and Dwayne Ford with great grandchildren Jaden, Mackenzie, and Dawson. Also surviving her is daughter Cheryl and Dr. Ronald Finger of Savannah, GA, and granddaughter Amanda Finger of Sacramento. Her only surviving sibling, sister Isobel Randolph of Michigan, visited when Audrey celebrated her 100th Birthday in March, with niece Gloria Powell and nephew Ronald and Carol Randolph. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Audrey was predeceased by her husband of 71 years Alex, and by granddaughter Traci Finger.
