Obituary:
Karen Lee Rose, formally Karen Meyer nee Brooks, known by family and friends as Kay Lee, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2012 at her home in Hidden Valley Lake with all her family at her side.
She was born in Lakeport March 31, 1946 and grew up in Potter Valley where her ancestors settled in the 1800s (Griffitts and Gibsons).
She held many jobs one as co-owner of the Hometown Shopper.
She is survived by her husband Edward Rose, mother Dorothy Bunsey, children Conni Jo Gomez (Gilbert), Michael Meyer (Tanya), nephew Vernon Brooks and special niece Monica Brooks Forkes who was more like a daughter to her, grandchildren Kyle Martinez, Tara Martinez, Isaac Gomez and Aaron James Meyer, two great grandchildren and many Brooks and Gibson cousins. She was preceded in death by her father Vernon Brooks and her brother Ronald Brooks.
Graveside services will be held at Potter Valley Cemetery on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 1 p.m. A gathering will follow at 740 N. Oak St.
