Samuel Timothy Hair, age 65 passed away peacefully in the arms of his loving wife Chris on August 10, 2023, after a courageous battle with a rare form of cancer.

Sam was born on February 8, 1958 in Ukiah, CA to Earl and Ruth Hair.  He attended elementary school in Hopland and Ukiah High School where he excelled in football and Track and Field.  He received numerous awards and recognition for outstanding achievements in both sports.

In 1979 he met and married the love of his life, Chris.  Throughout their 44 years of marriage, they loved spending time exploring the beautiful outdoors.  Sam was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and panning for gold.

Sam was preceded in death by his mother; Ruth Hair; sister, Nancy Painter and brother, Earl Hair.  He is survived by his wife, Chris, father Earl Hair; sister, Ruth (Tom) Solverson, brother, John (Kathy) Hair along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 18, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at the Russian River Cemetery located at 940 Low Gap Rd., Ukiah, CA
