Obituary:
Kenneth Lee Sears of Willits passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2012. Kenneth was born March 2, 1949 in Atascadero, Ca. Kenneth had lived in Willits for the past 21 years.
Kenneth attended college at Questa College and Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, Ca. and Sacramento State in Sacramento, Ca.
Kenneth was a fireman for many years, worked at Army Corps of Engineers-BLM and for the past 20 years was a Cal Trans employee.
On June 29, 1969 he married Kathleen Stilwell together they raised two beautiful daughters. He was proud of being Past Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus from July 1999 June 2000 in district DD.
Kenneth enjoyed spending time with family at the ocean. He participated in Winter Coat Collections for the needy, fund raising & pancake breakfast at the Church and fund raising for the disabled. He received dedicated service award from McClellan Fire Dept in 1977, Family of the Month 12-1998, Knights of Columbian Fund for people with mental retardation 2004 and Knights of Columbus Appreciation 2004 & 2005.
His family will remember his gentle heart and gentle nature, his daughters would say Sweet Dreams Dad and he would say, I will if I dream of you. His favorite quote was Lets get it done!
Kenneth is survived by his wife of 43 years Kathleen Sears of Willits, Ca. daughters Tamara Sears of Fortuna, Ca. and Denise Raasch of Willits, Ca. son-in-law Charles Raasch of Willits, Ca. sister Barbara Edigar of San Jose, Ca. brother Raymond Sears of Atascadero, Ca. sister-in-laws Linda Cline of Paso Robles, Ca., Freida Mosher of Atascadero, Ca. and Betty Gonzalez of Sacramento, Ca. brother-in-laws Jack Stilwell, Fred Stilwell of Sacramento, Ca., and Gary Stilwell of Stayton Or. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Kenneth was preceded in death by his father Raymond A. Sears, mother Mabel Sears, mother-in-law Grace Witham and father-in-law Laverde Shively .
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at St. Anthony of Padua-Catholic Church 61 W. San Francisco Ave. Willits, Ca. at 5 pm, with Father Tekle Dini officiating.
