Ashlee Elizabeth Shepherd
Ashlee was born in Ukiah on July 8, 1985. She graduated from South Valley High School in 2004 and attended Mendocino College and Penn-Foster online college in vet-tech. She moved to Suisun City 5 years ago. She passed away at her home on Tuesday, April 18, 2017. Ashlee loved horseback riding, camping and mermaiding. She did a few horse shows and mermaid swimming demonstrations. She worked for the Relay for Life and Octoberfest in Suisun City by doing face paintings for the kids and the young at heart. Ashley married Daniel Tyler Shepherd on May 19, 2012. She worked in retail sales at Staples in Ukiah, courtesy clerk at FoodMaxx in Ukiah, UPS notary in Suisun City and horse care for Dr. Cassellberry Equine DMV. Among her accomplishments were being a Notary Public for the State of California, flutest for Pomolita Middle School and Ukiah High School and owner of Fur Essentials (custom made to order fur suits).
Ashlee is survived by her husband Daniel of Suisun City, CA, sister Aimee Schuette (Aaron) of Ukiah, CA, sister Lisa Larsen of Livermore, CA, brother Russell Larsen (Jennifer) of Menlo Park, CA, mother and stepfather Charlene and Russ Larsen of Ukiah, CA, father and stepmother Jim and Cindy Bruton of Savusavu, Western, Fiji, mother-in-law and father-in-law Patricia and Howard Zevely of Shoshone, Idaho, step sisters Amanda Barry (Ben) of Twin Falls, Idaho, Amber Martin of Richmond, CA and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews from California to Georgia.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 24, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Eversole Mortuary with a graveside to follow at Ukiah Cemetery. Pastor Gerry Burney of Ukiah Crossroads Christian Church and Pastor Kristin Gallimore of Ukiah Grace Lutheran Church will officiate. A viewing will begin at 10 a.m. Florists in the area if needed are Rain Forest Fantasy or WE Flowers in Ukiah. After all of the services have concluded, there will be a gathering of family at Grace Lutheran Church for a time of loving, sharing and remembrance.
