Obituary:
George Stanley Singley passed away peacefully on December 1, at the age of 93. He is survived by his son Stanley L. Singley, daughter in law Amy; Grandchildren - Clinton S. Singley, wife Susan, Lauren Kathleen Singley, Michael S. Singley and wife Lauren. Four great-grandchildren: Jackson, Scarlett, Madison and Olivia former daughter in law Kathleen Parkhill. And by nephews Bob and Don Ford, Jimmy and Tom Hill and Allan and Dan La Rue.
He was predeceased by his wife Lois Jean and his parents Leonard Rock and Margaret Ford Singley, and sisters and brothers in law Jane and Lynn Ford and Marie and Gene La Rue. Also, Sister and brother-in-law Chet and Ruth Hill.
George was born in Ukiah, California, and was a resident of the area for 87 years. He attended UC Davis and worked in ranching and agriculture for most of his life. After retirement he worked for Hertz Rent a Car until he was 84. He would often laugh quietly when his job with Hertz included rescuing frightened tourists who ventured onto Coastal Highway 1.
He enjoyed trap and skeet shooting and served as President of the Trap and Skeet Club.
He and Lois Jean were married in 1952, though George was widowed in 1998 when Lois Jean passed away.
In 2015 he moved to Goodyear, Arizona with Stanley and Amy, and lived with them until his passing on December 1, 2021.
