Mary Alice (Ruddock) Smith

Born April 23, 1929 in Mendocino, California, died at home with her family by her side on August 25, 2011.
She is survived by her family, daughter Trudy Smith of Philo, son Lester Smith Jr. of Philo, granddaughters Yolanda Rodriguez and Carla Ramirez of Philo, great grandchildren Jesus Ramirez, Shellie Ramirez, Cristian Ramirez, Jorge Rodriguez, Kimberly Rodriguez all of Philo. She was preceded in death by her mom Augusta (Elder) Ruddock of Ukiah, her father Tom Ruddock of Philo AKA (Pine Limb) King of the Polekos, Boont Ling name. Tom Ruddock also originated the Mendocino County Apple Fair.
Mary was a very good artist, and very active in all areas such as canning and gardening, she loved flowers and had lots of house plants as well as outside plants (roses).
She was a very loving, kind person and will never be forgotten by her family and friends.
